Last year, my crew and I embarked on an 8-day shoot aboard
Holland America's new Pinnacle-class ship, the Nieuw Statendam.
Our task was to photograph the ship's new signature dishes served
in its various restaurants. As we sailed towards St. Thomas, our days
started earlier and earlier due to crossing time zones. We had the
pleasure of working with Master Chef Rudi Sodamin, whose energy
and inspiration were fantastic. The entire team clicked, and we formed
a special bond. Unfortunately, just a few months later, the pandemic hit,
affecting the lives of many aboard the ship. Despite the challenges, the
shoot was a dream come true. I hope for the chance to work together
again soon.
